TestPoint can interface to the DAS-TC/B board through the DriverLINX driver or through the older ASO driver. When using the ASO driver, operation is limited to Win3.x or Win9x. The DriverLINX driver will support operation in Win9x to Win2000.
When using the DriverLINX driver, you must specify the thermocouple type via the gain setting of the A/D object. See the table below:
Voltage Range Gain Setting -2.5 to 10 volts 1 -0.020 to 0.080 volts 2 -0.015 to 0.060 volts 3 -0.00625 to 0.025 volts 4 Thermocouple Type Gain Setting B 5 E 6 J 7 K 8 R 9 S 10 T 11
When using one of the Gain Settings for a thermocouple, the readings will always be reported in Celsius and the on-board CJC will be used. The averaging feature of the board is not accessible from TestPoint.
When using the ASO driver, the channel configuration is accomplished via a config file. Download and install the ASO driver. Within this download is a configuration utility which will generate the configuration file.
