1. Introduction

The Tektronix FC-16G DPOJET Essential Option provides engineers an easy and fast way to debug and perform compliance testing for FC-16G Tx devices. 

FC-16G option supports:
- FC-16G DPOJET Plug-in

The MOI contains the procedure for installation and the detailed information on how to
use the system. The MOI is located at C:\Program Files\TekApplications\DPOJET\FC-16G Essentials MOI.pdf.

2. Supported list of equipment and accessories

   All MSO/DPO/DSA70K C/D/DX/SX series with Bandwidth 20GHz & above on WIN7/WIN10

   Minimum recommended Requirement:
   Supported Scope Version: 10.6.1 or greater
   Supported DPOJET Version: 10.0.3 or greater

3. FC-16G created changes on your system

FC-16G Option, a DPOJET Plug-in
a)	FC-16G can be launched from “FibreChannel-16G" menu under “Analyze” menu of Scope application menu
b)	Launching FC-16G option from Analyze menu will launch DPOJET application with the technology FC-16G selected. The dropdown will have FC-16G enabled only if the FC-16G option is enabled on the scope.
c) 	FC-16G measurements on DPOJET do not have free trials.

4. Before you click "RUN"

a) Ensure that all the required instruments are properly warmed up, Signal Path Compensation (SPC) is performed & channels are deskewed
b) It is highly recommended to read FC-16G MOI before you click "RUN".
c) Ensure that the following software is installed in your system. 
	Tekscope (v10.6.1 onwards on Win7/Win10 scope)
    DPOJET (v10.0.3 onwards on Win7/Win10 scope)      
    Adobe Reader 6.0 or equivalent software for viewing portable document format (PDF) files

5. Recommendations

Following recommendation to avoid any issues while running the tests

a) Please acquire atleast 5M record length for all measurements. Otherwise results may not be correct.

6. Known Limitations in evaluation version

6.1 Installer related limitation 
a) Required software is installed on C: only.
b) User needs to have administrative privilege while installing the application.
c) If DPOJET software is upgraded and/or for some reason the DPOJET software is uninstalled and then re-installed, please re-install FC-16G software.
 
6.2 FC-16G option related limitation 
a) User needs to have administrative privilege while running the tests.
