5. Known Problems

- User Account Controls
If allowed by your corporate IT policy, set the User Account Controls to the
lowest level to avoid problems relating to software communications. Default
Level is ok but it is important to click Allow if Windows asks to allow an
LRCP process to operate.
- The LRCP will execute a procedure to save initial calibration settings when it first connects to any 5110. The same procedure will be followed with new installations for different users or on different computers. If the calibration is changed using Set Params, subsequent LRCP installations will save the new settings as the initial settings. To retain the original factory settings, make a backup of the InitialState.xml file created in the Program Files (x86)\TekApplications\LRCP installation directory.
- If all of the tabs in the LRCP are closed, it is necessary to close and restart the LRCP application to get them back.
- Do not disconnect or close the LRCP during an OUI Multi-Carrier Scan. The OUI uses the LRCP to control the lasers during the scan. Closing or disconnecting during a scan will crash the LRCP.

================================================================================

6. Installation

- Please read the separate installation instructions
- If upgrading, the old LRCP should be manually uninstalled before proceeding. Failure to do so will cause the application to behave unpredictably.
- Follow the instructions given by the InstallShield Wizard.
