Introduction The Tektronix TekExpress C-PHY Tx Essentials is an debug solution for testing the C-PHY product for MIPI DUT ================================================================================= 2. Before you click "RUN" a) Ensure that all the required instruments are properly warmed up, Signal Path Compensation (SPC) is performed, followed by calibration and cable deskew. b) Steps for network drive connection b.1) Background information : After you first launch TekExpress, it creates the following folders on your computer: “\My Documents\My TekExpress” NOTE. Ensure that the “My TekExpress” folder has Full read and write access. NOTE. If a user with a different Windows login ID launches TekExpress, a new folder is created under “My documents” of new user. “\My Documents\My TekExpress\C-PHY Tx Essentials “\My Documents\My TekExpress\C-PHY Tx Essentials\Untitled Session”, this sub-folder is created every time the “C-PHY Essentials” is launched and this sub-folder is deleted when you exit application. CAUTION: Each session has multiple files associated with it. Do not modify any of the session files and/or folders as this may result in loss of data or corrupted session files. The “My TekExpress” folder mentioned above is created as a shared folder with share name as ’s My TekExpress ================================================================================= 3. C-PHY Essentials created changes on your system. After first launch of "C-PHY Tx Essentials" from TekScope menu “Analyze>C-PHY Tx Essentials” following changes take place in your a) "My TekExpress" folder is created under "My Documents" folder of current user NOTE: If a user with new login ID launches "C-PHY Tx Essentials", "My TekExpress" folder is created under "My Documents" of the new user. b) "C-PHY Tx Essentials" folder is created under "My TekExpress" folder c) "Untitled Session" folder is created under "C-PHY Tx Essentials" folder, note that everytime "C-PHY Tx Essentials" is launched "Untitled Session" folder is created under "C-PHY Tx Essentials" folder and will be deleted after proper termination of application. d) If user saves a session in "TekExpressC-PHY Tx Essentials" all session files are saved under "C-PHY Tx Essentials" folder. Note that each session has multiple files associated with it and do not tamper with any of the session file(s) and/or folder(s) this may result in loss of data or corrupted session files. ================================================================================== 4. Supported Tests This Version of C-PHY Tx Essentials Solution Supports following tests: - Rise Time - Fall Time - Eye Diagram - DC Common Mode measurement - AC common Mode Mismatch Measurement - AC common mode Level variation between (50MHz and 450MHz) - AC common mode Level variation (Above 450MHz) - IntraPair Skew ================================================================================== 5. Supported list of equipment, accessories and software Tektronix DPO/DSA/DPS/MSO70604 (C/D/DX/SX) and above. ================================================================================== 6. Known Limitations 6.1 Installer related limitation a) Installation of TekExpress and other software packages are installed on C: drive only. b) The available free space on C: drive must be minimum 5 GB. 6.2 TekExpress Framework application related limitations a) Tests will be started only when all the instruments are available. b) The application is best viewed in super VGA resolution or higher video adapter (800x600 minimum video resolutions for small fonts or 1024x768 minimum video resolutions for large fonts) with 96 dpi display settings.If application is running on instrument with lower resolution then it is recommended to use secondary monitor. c) During test execution if user pauses the execution and if user does any changes in instrument setup then it is important that user restores the instruments settings to same state before clicking "Continue". d) Need to have sufficient hard disc space (Minimum of 1GB) to save the session information. e) Report Appending will work if 'Report Appending' is selected before previous execution and Test Setup Name and DUT Name should be the same as that of previous execution. f) User comments doesn't get reflected as part of report. g) Number of run accepts value <4.5>. While running the test, exception is thrown. WorkAround: User has to give number of run value as whole number. If incase floating point number is given, it may throw an exception. h) Browse Button appears to enabled even though checkbox and Text box are greyed out. i) Textbox for no of test remain enabled even though checkbox is not selected. 6.3 TekExpress application Known limitations a) Eye Diagram is not executing when loaded filter files using pre-recorded wfms b) Flickering happens when filter checkbox in global configuration panel is selected c) Browse button in global configuration panel is not disabled when filter file checkbox is not selected
