Version: [2.40] Last Revised: [06/20/2012] Products: MSO3012/MSO3014 MSO3032/MSO3034 MSO3054 DPO3012/DPO3014 DPO3032/DPO3034 DPO3052/DPO3054 This firmware supports Tektronix MSO3000 and DPO3000 Series oscilloscopes. History ------- v2.40 6/20/2012 Defects Fixed: - Ethernet: fixed DHCP and IP Address settings such that they persist thru power cycles - Fixed two German translation strings - Corrected recall behavior of cursors from setup file - Fixed FFT linear mode display following channel scale change - Fixed e*Scope PI queries not returning data v2.38 2/29/2012 New Features: - Bandwidth is field upgradeable (up to 500 MHz). This option can be purchased and installed by the customer. (Serial numbers < C020000 or < B020000 must be upgraded by a Tektronix service center). - Pulse width inside and outside range triggering. - DPO3AERO MIL-STD-1553 serial bus analysis and triggering is supported. - DPO3FLEX FlexRay serial bus analysis and triggering is supported. - Smaller default font size (choice of font size is selectable). - Envelope acquisition mode now allows specifying the number of acquisitions included in the envelope (1 to 2000 and infinite) - Vertical Bandwidth Menu shows actual bandwidth of scope and probe when "Full" is selected. - Programmer Manual now includes examples and model configuration queries. Defects fixed: - Correction to FFT Math units. - Measurements on Histogram counts improved. - TekSecure improvements on reference waveforms. - Setup/hold triggering improvements for newer units which support multichannel setup/hold triggering. - CSV/isf file save/recall improvements. v2.31 10/28/2011 New Features: - Enhanced Menu Off functionality to allow manipulation of cursors with readouts turned off. - Improved y-axis cross hair alignment with waveform when cursors are on. Defects fixed: - Correction to harmonics graph in Power Application. v2.25 5/06/2011 Defects fixed: - Some non-volatile memory settings, including number of power-ups and operating time, were not correctly restored after a firmware update with v2.23. After a v2.23 update, these settings will not represent accurate data and cannot be restored. With v2.25, non-volatile settings are correctly restored if the user has not already upgraded to v2.23. If a unit was updated to v2.23, this version is unable to restore the original settings. v2.23 4/12/2011 New Features: - Application Modules have licenses that can be transferred between an Application Module and an oscilloscope. - Permits the use of more than 4 applications simultaneously. - Enables usage of an application on the oscilloscope while the physical application module can be removed and stored in a secure location. - SPI Trigger increased to 50 Mb/s - Timeout Trigger - DPO OFF (zero persistence) - Solid Line Graticule - Socket Server Support. - Recall of waveforms in CSV file format. Defects Fixed: - Improved Ethernet interface reliability and stability. - Fix for Erroneous Data when 1-byte samples are used. - Misc. Math Auto-scaling improvements. - Fix for incorrect FFT Cursor units readout on Advanced Math waveforms. V 2.16 6/01/2010 Defects Fixed: - Improves reliability and efficiency of Read/Write cycles to flash memory. V 2.14 5/07/2010 Defects Fixed: - Enhanced encoder performance for front panel knobs. Improves linearity and smoothness of knob operation. V 2.10 4/27/2010 Defects Fixed: - The range of analog channel vertical position is restored to +/- 5 divs for MSO/DPO3000 models. V 2.07 6/5/2009 The range of vertical position is +/- 4 divs. For DPO3000 customers that require a range of +/- 5 divs, please roll-back to version 1.20. The range of vertical position will be +/-5 divs in the next firmware update across all MSO/DPO3000 products. Defects Fixed: - Digital waveform display is now correct with slow triggers. V 2.04 5/26/2009 The range of vertical position is +/- 4 divs. For DPO3000 customers that require a range of +/- 5 divs, please roll-back to version 1.20. New Features: - Support for the MSO3000 products. Defects Fixed: - Input impedance is now set correctly when a P6243 probe is connected - Horizontal position control is less coarse when zoom is enabled - The spacing of the brackets drawn in the record overview window is more uniform while panning through the waveform - Probe model settings in the channel deskew menu are now retained after a power cycle. - When measurements are enabled, pressing Autoset or Trigger level set to 50% no longer causes occasional system errors V 1.20 2/9/2009 New Features: - Support for the DPO3PWR Power Analysis application module. Includes the following measurements: - Power Quality - Switching Loss - Harmonics - Ripple - Modulation - SOA (Safe Operating Area) - Serial trigger and bus decode for the I2S Audio standard (Requires DPO3AUDIO application module.) Includes the following formats: - I2S - Left-justified - Right-justified - TDM - PictBridge printer support - Trigger frequency readout - Save All Waveforms to File - Animated Progress Indicators - Autoset enable/disable through user interface Performance Improvements: - Improved cursor readout resolution - The Probe Setup menu has been improved to provide enhanced control of current probes to support power measurements. - Some programmatic interface commands have been added for backward compatibility with older instrument control software.
