Contact: Keithley Instruments, Inc. Laser Diode Mounts Make LIV Test Systems Easy to Set Up Cleveland, Ohio -- January 27, 2003 -- Keithley Instruments, Inc. (NYSE:KEI) today announced the release of the Series 854X line of laser diode mounts for use with Keithley Light-Current-Voltage (LIV) test systems. These mounts make it possible to set up and run LIV tests on laser diodes much more quickly and easily than previous methods allowed. There is no need for the user to buy or design a fixture and create a complex cable to connect the device under test to the instrumentation. They also make it possible to put together a complete hardware test setup with all components ordered from the same source. The new mounts are used with Model 2400-LV and 2420/2440 SourceMeter® instruments, the Model 2500 and 2502 Dual Photodiode Meters, and the Model 2510 and 2510-AT TEC SourceMeter instruments. Three versions of the laser diode mounts are available. The Models 8542 and 8544 are for use with dual inline (DIL) and butterfly laser packages respectively. The Model 8544-TEC has a thermoelectric cooler (TEC) mounted in the fixture for controlling the ambient temperature of the laser diode package. All three versions come bundled with all necessary cables to connect to the Keithley LIV systems. About Keithley Instruments.
