----------------------------------------------------------- Customer Release Notes for DDR Analysis Product : DDR Analysis Version : 10.2.0 Platform : Win 10 Last Revised: Oct, 2019 ----------------------------------------------------------- Contents of this Readme file: 1. DDR Analysis Overview 2. What is New in this Release 3. System Requirements 4. Known Limitations / Problems 5. Notes 6. Contacting Tektronix ----------------------------------------------------------- 1. DDR Analysis Overview DDR Analysis is a standard specific solution tool for Tektronix Performance Digital Oscilloscopes (DPO/DSA/MSO 5K/7K/70K B/C/D/DX series). DDR Analysis requires Jitter and Eye Diagram Analysis Tool (Opt.DJA) and the advanced Search and Mark capability (Opt. ASM). ----------------------------------------------------------- 2. What is New in this release 1. Latest v10.2.0: This release includes the following features compared to DDRA build 10.1.4.4 released in April 2018 a. Enhancements and Defect fixes related to LPDDR4: i. Supports 'Auto Burst Detection' for differential signals with mid-reference value set to 0V. ii. LPDDR4 - Autoset types should be Min Max base top method for data eye measurement. iii. Mask will be placed at the center of the DQ Eye plot. iv. Enhanced the tDQS2DQ and burst marking algorithms for LPDDR4 v. Support mask margin (left/right/top/bottom) measurements and tDIVW, vDIVW measurements in PI mode. 1. SCPI Commands to extract the results are given below: a. DDRA:MASKMARGIN b. DDRA:MASKMARGINTIME c. DDRA:MASKMARGINVOLTAGE vi. updated the VIX measurements to spec JESD209-4B version. vii. limits in-line with latest spec revision "JESD209-4B" viii. Added support for 'Data Mask Placement' for LPDDR4 and LPDDR4x. 1. SCPI Commands to select the 'Data Mask Placement' between DQS-Crossing / Center are given below: a. DDRA:DATAMASKPLACEMENT? query returns CENTER or DQSCROSSING b. DDRA:DATAMASKPLACEMENT DQSCROSSING sets 'DQS crossing' as data mask placement. c. DDRA:DATAMASKPLACEMENT CENTER sets 'Center' as data mask placement. b. Updated limits for tCH/tCL(DDR2-400/533) 2. Previous Release v10.1.4.4: This release includes the following major features compared to DDRA build 10.1.3 released in April 2017 a. Address/command Eye width measurement is added for DDR4. b. A bug has been fixed in recalling LPDDR4 configuration file. c. A bug has been fixed in saving the report with screenshots. d. A bug fix for consistent DDR4 burst marks across Auto and Manual voltage reference levels. For more detailed information of DDRA features please refer Online Help. ------------------------------------------------------------ 3. System Requirements To use the DDRA application Opt. ASM (Advanced Search and Mark Tool) and DPOJET Advanced (Opt. DJA) are required. TekScope Firmware v10.10 (Win10) DPOJET v10.0.11 ----------------------------------------------------------- 4. Known Limitations / Problems - For some of the DDRA measurement names, the measurement name reflected in DPOJET plots-panel is standard DPOJET measurement name instead of DDRA standard specific name. - DDRA application needs to be re-installed after the installation of TekScope. - For LPDDR4 ASM to work, atleast one isolated burst should be present in the entire acquisition. - In some scenario, the algorithm may not distinguish properly between WRITE bursts and READ bursts with toggle preamble and extended postamble. ---------------------------------------------------------- 5. Notes - The DDRA installer will copy all the filter files present in 'C:\Users\Public\Filters' to 'C:\Users\Public\Filters_Backup' - The TekScope has to be relaunched for the changes in filter.xml to take effect - Ensure that there is a valid waveform on Math before clicking on Single or Run button ----------------------------------------------------------- 6.
