80SJNB Jitter, Noise, and BER Analysis application, 80SJARB Jitter Analysis
of Arbitrary Data application, and Serial Data Link Analysis Visualizer
application for DSA8300 instruments running Windows 7 Operating System.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Click on the link to download the executable. If you are
connecting to the Internet directly from your DSA8300 instrument,
select the Run option. This will download and unpack the installation
files on your instrument. In order to unpack you need to run the executable
as administrator(right click on the file and select "Run as administrator").
Follow the instructions to start the installation
and then skip to step 4, 5, or 6 to install the desired applicaton. If
you are using a PC, select the Save option. This will save the compressed
file to a location on your computer.

2. If you are installing a new version of the application on your instrument
you will need to transfer the compressed file to your DSA8300 instrument into
a temporary directory.

3. Double click the downloaded file. Click the Setup button to start the
Winzip extractor to unpack the files to your instrument or workstation and
start the installation program.

4. Begin the installation of the 80SJNB Application by clicking on
the Install Software option at left, then the 80SJNB Jitter, Noise,
and BER Analysis Software link at right. Once the installation has
completed,
reboot the instrument.

5. Begin the installation of the 80SJARB Application by clicking on the
Install Software option at left, then the 80SJARB Arbitrary Jitter
Analyzer link at right. Once the installation has completed, reboot
the instrument.

6. Begin the installation of the SDLA Visualizer Application by clicking on
the Install Software option at left, then the SDLA Visualizer link at right.


NOTE 1: We strongly recommend using autorun.exe program for installing your
software. This will ensure proper installation of all required
software components.

NOTE 2: If a "Insert Disk 1" dialog message appears while installing any of
the applications, cancel, then manually uninstall the application from the
Windows Control Panel Programs and Features.

Congratulations, you have upgraded your instrument to the most current version!
