Earlier release(s) TekExpress D-PHY has a legacy application which is currently in the market, which has a different user experience. ================================================================================================================== 6. Modifications done on scope by TekExpress After first launch of Tekexpress D-PHY application following changes take place on scope: a) "My TekExpress" folder is created under Documents folder of current user and gets mapped to "X" drive during launch. The "X" drive will get unmapped when the application is closed properly. NOTE: If a user with new login ID launches "TekExpress D-PHY.exe", "My TekExpress" folder is created under Documents of the new user. b) "Untitled Session" folder is created under "X:\D-PHY" folder when the application is launched and will be deleted after proper termination of the application c) If user saves a session, then all session files are saved under "X:\D-PHY" folder. Note that each session has multiple files associated with it and do not tamper with any of the session file(s) and/or folder(s) as this may result in loss of data or corrupted session files ================================================================================================================== 7. Recommendation Ensure that all the required instruments are properly warmed up, Signal Path Compensation is performed. ================================================================================================================== 8. Known Information/Limitations 8.1 Installer related information/limitation a) TekExpress D-PHY and other software are installed on C: drive only. b) User will need administrative privilege while installing the application c) The available free space on C:\ drive must be minimum 5GB. d) Please uninstall the old application from Control Panel if its installed. The old application gets installed in C:\Program Files (x86)\... folder. But, the new application gets installed in C:\Program Files\... as root folder. 8.2 General limitations: a) Legacy application had few features which are not supported in the current release of TekExpress D-PHY. i) RF switch support is removed from the current release. It will be added in the future releases. ii) CTS 1.2 Base Spec 1.2 is the only version supported in the release. Support for older versions are removed from this release. iii) Measurement "1.4.18 Clock Lane HS clock Delta UI" is not applicaple for HS Data Rate value "> 1.5Gbps" iv) DUT ID should have maximum of 32 Characters, even though field allows for more. v) It is recommended to use a secondary monitor when the application is run on a scope. vi) While running the tests, D-PHY application might go behind the scope. User has to press Alt-Tab or select the TekExpress D-PHY option on TekScope menu to bring the application to the front. vii) Test will be started only when all the instruments are available. viii) It is recommended to use a secondary monitor when the application is run on a scope. ix) If a proper filter file is not chosen for de-embedding and some invalid value entered there, there may be an error message shown and measurements will not proceed. x) If a setup was run and saved with measurement method Manuaul (Using Cursors), and its recalled to be run in pre-recorded mode, then the tests will be run in automatic mode only. xi) Tests 1.5.5 and 1.5.6 will be shown only for HS Data Rate value "> 1.5Gbps" xii) Since there are optimizations done for acquisitions and test execution, there might be backward compatibility issue when user tries to recall old sessions. A popup related to session recall might appear. Clicking Ok will do a partial recall of session. But the saved waveforms can be reused seamlessly. xiii) In Pre recorded mode, if user selects incorrect waveform, execution might take a long time to error out. xiv) Tests 1.6.4, 1.6.5 and 1.6.6 are semi-automatic. User needs to zoom and place cursor at appropriate region to get accurate results. ==================================================================================================================
