Introduction Welcome to the TekExpress® LVDS application. The Tektronix TekExpress® LVDS transmitter test application offers a physical layer test solution for transmitter parameter, measurements and characterization. The TekExpress® LVDS automated test solution, along with a Tektronix 5 & 6 Series MSO, 70KC oscilloscope, provides an easy way to measure, test, debug and characterize the electrical and timing measurements of various flavors of LVDS. ===================================================================================== 2. List of supported equipments DPO70K Series and MSO 5/6 Series scope (MSO54, MSO56, MSO58, MSO64, MSO64B) with Jitter Analysis option. ** Bandwidth Selection: Minimum scope bandwidth would be 350MHz. A. Example cases based on data rate e.g., given below. 800 Mbps >> (800/2) * 5 >> 2GHz 1.5 Gbps >> (1.5/2) * 5 >> 3.750GHz >> 4 GHz 5 Gbps >> (2.5 * 5) >> 12.5GHz B. Bandwidth calculation based on rise time. Between the two options (A and B), opt for the higher Bandwidth Scope. Bandwidth of the scope should be such that no relevant part of the signal is filtered off. ** Probes (Quantity based on number of lanes) : Differential Probes TDP3500/TDP4000/TDP7704/TDP7706/TDP/7708 + Probe Accessory Single ended Probes with SMA to BNC Adapter. TekExpress LVDS Tx created changes on your system. After first launch of "TekExpress LVDS Tx.exe" following changes take place in your computer. a) "My TekExpress" folder is created under "My Documents" folder of current user NOTE: If a user with new login ID launches "TekExpress LVDS Tx.exe”, "My TekExpress" folder is created under "My Documents" of the new user. b) "Untitled Session" folder is created under "LVDS folder when the application is launched and will be deleted after proper termination of the application. c) If user saves a session then all session files are saved under "LVDS" folder accordingly. Note that each session has multiple files associated with it and do not tamper with any of the session file(s) and/or folder(s) as this may result in loss of data or corrupted session files. ===================================================================================== 5.
