Introduction The Tektronix 100G-TXE options provide design and validation engineers an easy and fast way to debug and perform compliance testing for 100G-TXE devices (CAUI4, 100GBASE-CR4 and 100GBASE-KR4) 100G-TXE options install: - 'CAUI-4', CR4-Tx and KR4-Tx DPOJET Plug-in The MOI contains the procedure for installation and the detailed information on how to use the system. ================================================================================= 2. Supported list of equipment and accessories Scope: DPS77004SX, DPO77002SX, DPS75904SX, DPO75902SX, DPS75004SX, DPO75002SX, DPO72304SX, DPO72304DX, MSO72304DX, DPO72504DX, MSO72504DX, DPO73304SX, DPO73304DX, MSO73304DX For Compliance testing minimum of 2 stacks SX scopes with Bandwidth > 50GHz is recommended. Supported Scope Version: 10.6.1 or greater Supported DPOJET Version: 10.0.3 or greater ================================================================================= 3. How to launch 100G-TXE plugin measurements 100G-TXE, is a package which contains measurements for CAUI-4, CR4-Tx and KR4-Tx technologies a) CAUI-4 can be launched from “CAUI-4“ menu under “Analyze” menu of Scope application menu. Launching CAUI-4 option from Analyze menu of TekScope will launch DPOJET application with “CAUI-4” selected under Standards tab. b) CR4-Tx can be launched from "CR4-TX" menu under "Analyze" menu of Scope application menu. Launching CR4-TX option from Analyze menu of TekScope will launch DPOJET application with “CR4-TX” selected under Standards tab. c) KR4-Tx can be launched from "KR4-TX" menu under "Analyze" menu of Scope application menu. Launching KR4-TX option from Analyze menu of TekScope will launch DPOJET application with “KR4-TX” selected under Standards tab. d) Contact Tektronix to get floating license to evaluate the product ================================================================================= 4. Changes/What's new in version 1.2.2 a) Fix for Pre/Post Cursor Measurement b) Coefficient Initialization ratio measurements are added for CR4/KR4 ================================================================================= 5. Before you click "RUN" a) Ensure that all the required instruments are properly warmed up, Signal Path Compensation (SPC) is performed, channels are deskewed and attenuation factors are set b) It is highly recommended to read MOI(CR4, KR4 and CAUI4) before you click "RUN c) Ensure that the following software’s are installed in your system. Tekscope (v10.6.1 onwards on Win 7 scope) DPOJET (v10.0.3 onwards on Win 7 scope) Adobe Reader 6.0 or equivalent software for viewing portable document format (PDF) files ================================================================================= 6. Recommendations a) Please acquire minimum of 20M record length for Jitter/Eye measurements and minimum of 5M record length for all other measurements. Otherwise results may not be correct. ================================================================================= 7. Known Limitations 7.1 Installer related limitation a) Required software’s are installed on C:\ drive only. b) User needs to have administrative privilege while installing the application c) If DPOJET software is upgraded and/or for some reason the DPOJET software is uninstalled and then re-installed, please re-install 100G-TXE software. 7.2 100G-TXE option related limitation a) User needs to have administrative privilege while running the tests. ================================================================================================
