H500 PC simulator and H500/SA2500 Remote Client software applications (English localized versions) - Version 7.050

The H500 PC simulator application software provides a PC simulation of the instrument functionality. You can use the simulator to open and view saved instrument measurement results, create and edit mask test files, and so on. The only limit to the PC simulator is that is cannot perform actual measurements.

The H500/SA2500 Remote Client application is a PC version of the H500 or SA2500 application that connects through the network to a Remote Server running on an H500 or SA2500 instrument. The Remote Server instrument acts as a remote measurement device, sending results back to the Remote Client application. With just several small exceptions, the Remote Client application has all the capabilities of the actual H500 or SA2500 application.


Installation
------------

1) Unpack the ZIP file downloaded from the web.
2) Run H500PC_V7050_setup_ENU.exe and follow the on-screen instructions provided by the installation utility.

For installations on systems running Windows 7 or Windows Vista, perform the following additional steps:

1) Display file properties for the H500PC desktop shortcut (right click on the file, then select Properties).
2) From the "H500PC Properties" dialog, select the "Compatibility" tab.
3) For Windows 7 systems, enable the "Run this program in compatibility mode for" checkbox, then select "Windows XP (Service Pack 3)" in the Compatibility Mode list box.
4) For Windows Vista systems, enable the "Run this program as an administrator" checkbox.
5) Click the OK button.
