==================================================================================
1. Introduction

TekExpress FRL is an automated compliance test solution for validating
HDMI compliance test specification 2.1 and 2.2 devices. It streamlines
physical layer compliance testing with automated workflows and advanced
measurement capabilities, enabling faster and more reliable validation.
HDMI 2.1 introduced FRL technology, supporting video formats up to
4K@120 Hz and 8K@60 Hz, with data rates from 3 to 12 Gbps per lane across
four lanes, providing up to 48 Gbps bandwidth. HDMI 2.2 further advances
performance with 24 Gbps per lane and up to 96 Gbps total throughput.
By combining test automation, accurate measurements, and Tektronix compliance
expertise, TekExpress FRL helps engineers efficiently validate next-generation
HDMI products and accelerate time to market.

The Installation manual contains the procedure for installation and the online
help file included with the software contains the detailed information on how to
use the TekExpress application. This Readme.txt file contains additional information for the user.

2. TekExpress FRL created changes on your system.

After first launch of "TekExpress FRL.exe" following changes take place in your
computer.
a) "My TekExpress" folder is created under "My Documents" folder of current user
NOTE: If a user with new login ID launches "TekExpress FRL.exe",
"My TekExpress" folder is created under "My Documents" of the new user.
b) "FRL" folder is created under "My TekExpress" folder and will have the saved setup files.
c) "Untitled Session" folder is created under "FRL" folder, note that
every time "TekExpress FRL.exe" is launched "Untitled Session" folder is
created under "FRL" folder and will be deleted after proper termination
   of application.
d) If user saves a session in TekExpress FRL all session files are saved
under "FRL" folder. Note that each session has multiple files associated
with it and do not tamper with any of the session file(s) and/or folder(s) this
may result in loss of data or corrupted session files.

3. Before you click "RUN"

FRL Source:

a) Ensure that all the required instruments are properly warmed up, Signal Path Compensation (SPC) is performed, followed by cable deskew.
b) It is highly recommended to read Troubleshooting section in OLH ("TekExpress FRL.pdf) before you click "RUN"
c) Ensure that the following software is installed in your system.
	- Tektronix Jitter and Eye Diagram tool
	- Tektronix CIO Plugin
d) De-Embedding File Selection: Select the de-embedding file based on the fixture and probe connection in use as applicable:
   For HFB:
   - TCA-SMA connectors with SMA cable:
        Use: HDMI-22_Luxshare_SMA_DeEmbed.flt or HDMI-22_WilderPlug_SMA_DeEmbed.flt or HDMI-22_WilderReceptacle_SMA_DeEmbed.flt
   - TriMode probes:
        Use: HDMI-22_Luxshare_DeEmbed.flt or HDMI-22_WilderPlug_Deembed.flt or HDMI-22_WilderReceptacle_Deembed.flt

   For FRL:
   - TCA-SMA connectors with SMA cable:
        Use: Plug_SMA_DeEmbed.flt or Receptacle_SMA_DeEmbed.flt
   - TriMode probes:
        Use: Plug_DeEmbed.flt or Receptacle_DeEmbed.flt

4. Supported Test Suites

Following test suites are supported by this version of TekExpress FRL:
	HDMI2.1, Device - Source : FRL
	HDMI2.2, Device - Source : HFB

5. Pre-Requisites

5.1 Third party Dependency components Version

    1. MATLAB Runtime Ver. 8.0

5.2 Tektronix Dependency Firmware/Applications Version (These needs to be
    installed by the End-user explicitly):

    1. RealTime TekScope firmware [MSO/DPO70000] Ver. 10.15 and above.
    2. TekScope firmware [DPO714AX] Ver. 2.26.13 and above
    3. DPOJET application Ver. 10.5.0 and above

5.3 Tektronix Software option keys required :
    1. On TekScope :
       a. Option keys: DJA, HD21, HD22
Note: HFB1-6, HFB1-7, HFR1-6, HFR1-7 Eye and Jitter measurements will not be available on DPO714AX.

5.4 Minimum system requirements
    a). Supported Scope - MSO/DPO70000 series Real Time Oscilloscopes >= 23/25GHz Bandwidth
    b). Supported probes - P76xx/P77xx

6. Known Limitations

6.1 Installer related limitation:
	a) Installation of TekExpress and other software are installed in C:\ only.
	b) User needs to have administrative privilege while installing the application
	c) Application can only be launched in TekScope.
	d) Before installing the application, TekScope application should be closed.
	e) In Data eye diagram measurement, we are considering cross-talk from selected lanes only. We will have to select all 4 lanes for getting results as per CTS.
	f) With P76/P77 probe for Inter-pair skew measurement, we cannot select the following 2 combinations: Lane0-Lane1 & Lane2-Lane3. As these 2 pairs are present on the same probes, we cannot acquire the signals at one instance as required to calculate skew.
	g) Uninstall "Tektronix HDMI_FRL Solution" if already installed with earlier versions of TekExpress FRL application.

6.2 TekExpress FRL application related limitation:
	a) User needs to have administrative privilege while launching the application first time.
	b) Test will be started only when all the required instruments are available.
	c) During test execution if user pauses the execution and makes any changes in instrument setup, then it is important that user restores the instruments settings to same state before clicking "resume".
	d) Need to have sufficient hard disk space (around 10GB when full run is selected) to save the session information.
