1. Introduction
Tektronix TekExpress SATA is an automated test system for testing the Serial ATA Compliance for Transmitter and Receiver for Device and Host.
SATA_AWG_Patterns are the pre-requisites for the Application that are to be installed on Tektronix AWG.

2. Pre-Requisites
2.1 Tektronix Dependency Firmware/Applications Version (These needs to be installed by the End-user explictly):
    1. RealTime TekScope firmware       		Ver. 10.7.0 and above.
    2. DPOJET application               		Ver. 10.0.5 and above.
    3. AWG firmware - 7K                		Ver. 3.3 and above.
    4. AWG firmware - 70K               		Ver. 6.1 and above.
    5. SerialXpress application (AWG-7K)        	Ver. 3.3
    6. High Speed Serial Plug-in (AWG-70000)    	Ver. 1.3.3
    7. AWG Pattern Installer            		Ver. 1.4.0
2.2 Scope Requirements
    1. SATA Gen1, Gen2 and Gen3 require DPO/DSA/MSO 12.5Ghz C/D/DX/SX models and above  
    2. SATA Gen1, Gen2 and Gen3 require AWG7122 B/C models and above
2.3 Tektronix Software option keys required :
    1. On TekScope :
       a. ERRDT: Error Detector .
       b. ST6G: 6.25Gb/s Serial Pattern Trigger.
    2. On AWG 7122 B/C: 
       a. Option keys: 01, 06 and 08
    3. SerialXpress:
       a. Option keys: SSC and ISI
    4. AWG70001A and AWG70002A with the following options: 
      a. HSS plugin:
	HSSFL-SS01: High Speed Serial plug-in with a floating license that can be reassigned to different Tektronix instruments or PCs.
	HSSNL-SS01: High Speed Serial plug-in with a node locked license tied to a single instrument or PC.
	HSSPACKFL-SS01: High Speed Serial bundle includes the High-Speed Serial plug-in, Spread Spectrum Clock, and S-Parameter plug-ins with a floating license that can be reassigned to different Tektronix instruments or PCs.
	HSSPACKNL-SS01: High Speed Serial bundle includes the High-Speed Serial plug-in, Spread Spectrum Clock, and S-Parameter plug-ins with a node locked license tied to a single instrument or PC.
       b. SSC:
               SSCFL-SS01: SSC floating license that can be reassigned to different Tektronix instruments or PC.
               SSCNL-SS01: SSC node locked license tied to a single instrument or PC. S-parameter:
               SPARAFL-SS01: S-Parameter floating license that can be reassigned to different Tektronix instruments or PCs.
               SPARANL-SS01: S-Parameter node locked license tied to a single instrument or PC
3. Installation
   3.1 Download SATA_Patterns_Setup_v1.4.0.2.exe from www.tek.com
   3.2 Copy the Setup file on AWG7122B/C or AWG70001A/AWG70002A local hard drive.
   3.3 Run the downloaded program, this will extract the patterns on AWG local hard-drive.
   3.4 After the installation completes user can remove the above EXE file from local hard-drive.

4. Changes created on on your system after installation on AWG7122 B/C
After successful installation, SATA AWG patterns are created at C:\Patterns\SATA
Subfolders created are:
\BIST-L Initialization Files
\2-Align
\4-Align
\RMT
\SataPatternGenerationUtility
\S-parameter Files

5. Changes created on on your system after installation on AWG70001A/AWG70002A
After successful installation, SATA AWG patterns are created at C:\Patterns\SATA
Subfolders created are:
\BIST-L Initialization Files
\2-Align
\4-Align
\RMT
