Generic Precompensation Plug-in Customer Release Notes Version: 1.4 Last Revised: December 22, 2017 Product: Generic precompensation Plug-in Description Generic precompensation is a plug-in that can be installed on a PC which has SourceXpress application or on AWG 70000 instrument with v6.1 or later. Once installed, this plug-in integrates and operates seamlessly with SourceXpress or AWG 70000 user and programmer interfaces. This plug-in can be used to create correction coefficients that can be applied to waveforms to obtain a flat frequency and linear phase response. The following operating systems are supported: • Windows 7 Professional • Windows 10 Professional Prerequisite • Microsoft .NET 4.5 runtime framework • This plug-in will integrate with v6.1 of the SourceXpress PC application and v6.1 AWG instrument firmware. Go to http://www.tek.com/software/sourcexpress-software to download the latest SourceXpress software. • TekVISA v4.2.0.15 or newer is required to communicate with SourceXpress and AWG via PI commands; Go to www.tek.com to download the compatible version of TekVISA. • In order to apply the correction coefficients from this plug-in to a waveform, the Generic precompensation license must be purchased and enabled on SourceXpress or AWG 70000/5200 instrument.
