Known Issues ------------ - Spurious results when measuring S21/S12 (varies by instrument) - Intermittent point trigger failures during automated testing (varies by instrument) - Touchstone .sNp files export Magnitude and Phase files in units of Radians rather than Degrees - In Display “Memory only” mode, Markers stay on the data trace even when data trace is not active. - Cannot hold trigger, or switch to single run after recalling a cstate file. - Folder %ProgramData%\Tektronix\VectorVuPC\Options may not be removed by program uninstall. - Tektronix no longer offers license support of electronic calibration, time domain transform, or time domain gating ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Version 1.2.4 Date: February 09, 2018 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Release Candidate New Features -------------------------------- - Fast sweep mode - provides approximately 2x improved sweep speed - Segmented sweep - Power sweep - Limit test - Ripple test - Bandwidth test Bug fixes and other enhancements -------------------------------- - External trigger operation now consistent when working with multiple channels. - All channels trigger when trigger scope set to All. - Trigger initiates a complete sweep with 2 or more channels at all times. - SW no longer hangs when changing from external trigger to manual and no external trigger is present. - Port Extension enabling is operating. - Calibration in fast mode resulting in smooth trace. - Solved several conditions which caused VectorVu-PC to freeze. Known Issues ------------ - Preset does not fully preset the instrument every time. This is most frequently when using Segmented Sweep (for example, After importing segmented sweep table from file and setting segment display to linear). Grid lines may be bold, the frequency axis may disappear, or the trace may not fully display. Workaround: sometimes clicking “Preset” a second time will fully preset the instrument. In some cases the user may need to close and reopen VectorVu-PC. - In performing a Segmented Sweep and using a marker, the marker will sometimes hop from max frequency to min frequency due to changes to the Segment Table by the user. Workaround: None exists. Avoid editing the segment table and extending markers past the maximum frequency of the trace. - In Power Sweep mode, sometimes when using “Marker->Center” the Marker will be located outside the screen and frozen but the value updates and is correct. Workaround: avoid using “Marker-Center” and other such marker functions when using Power Sweep mode. - When using a reference marker and a second marker in delta mode, the marker data may flash back and forth between the absolute and delta value. Workaround: none exists. Avoid using delta marker mode. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Version 1.0.5 Date: June 30, 2017 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Release Candidate Bug fixes and other enhancements -------------------------------- - Simultaneous S12 and S21 traces with non-reciprocal devices now displays correct information. - Ability to enter port extensions in fractional units has been fixed Known Issues ------------ - Inconsistent external trigger operation when working with multiple channels - All channels do not trigger when trigger scope set to ?All? - Sometimes trigger initiates a partial sweep with 2 or more channels - SW hangs when changing from external trigger to manual and no external trigger is present. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Version 1.0.4 Date: May 25, 2017 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Release Candidate Bug fixes and other enhancements -------------------------------- - Reading s2p files from 3rd party vendors - IF BW not limiting gracefully at 500 kHz - Modifying Cal Kits Known Issues ------------ - Trace error when both S21 and S12 are shown simultaneously for non-reciprocal devices (patch forthcoming) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Version 1.0.3 Date: April 3, 2017 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This release note summarizes new features, improvements and bug fixes contained in the above software release. Version 1.0.2 adds the following functions. - Initial release of VectorVu-PC. Known Issues ------------ - When installing VectorVu-PC on a computer with Microsoft Visual Studio 2015, the installer will fail installing Microsoft VC redistributable. A note in the installer prompts the user to continue installation in this case. Workaround: Continue installation when Microsoft VC redistribtable installation fails. - If a TTR500 has been connected a second unactivated TTR500 will not show up in connection manager. Workaround: Connect TTR500 alone when first connected to a PC. - Auto scale does not guarantee that memory trace is on screen Workaround: Use manual scale when watching memory traces - When using multiple channels layout, pressing next changes the channel on the active window. Another window with the same channel will not show a trace Workaround: Use channel->active or click a window to change active channel - Target search in continuous marker mode returns data closest to target in the specified frequency points Workaround: Read trace data to the left or right of the marker if interpolated target frequency is desired - Channel label for channels 4,8,12,16 cannot be hidden - It is possible to set reference value or reference position off screen Workaround: Specify reference value and reference posision in screen - Bandwidth search and notch search do not display immediately when trigger is on hold Workaround: Move marker and bandwidth / notch search data will show up - Marker response value attached to data trace even if only memory trace is selected Workaround: Read memory trace at marker position Documentation ------------- The VectorVu-PC programmers manual is available on www.tektronix.com.
