4. Known Limitations
* The setup files saved in the prior versions of TDSUSB2.0 will be incompatible
for this new version. Recalling an incompatible file will show an error
message and the default set up will be recalled.
* The Hide button does not bring the instrument application to full screen.
Clicking anywhere in instrument Application will achieve this.
* Some of the Windows of application (for example, preferences panel) will go
behind the application window and cannot be brought to the front for proper
operation. Restart the application/oscilloscope to overcome this problem.
* Press the ENTER key to ensure proper selection of a file. For example,
in Utilities->TSV File Generator after entering the TSV file name,
 press ENTER to commit changes
* This application uses Java's printing capabilities and depends on the operating
system for most of its operation. If no printer is connected to the
oscilloscope, then there may not be any error message from the operating
system. Ensure a printer is connected and working properly before using
 printing feature in application
* For Inrush and Droop measurements, the report does not include any images.
* The HIDE and CLOSE button can intermittently remain in the foreground
when the TekScope application goes full window and displays the "App"
button. If this occurs, click anywhere in the TekScope Application to bring
 the TekScope application forward.
* When attaching a secondary monitor, set the color setting to a higher
color depth than 256 colors to be the same as the primary monitor. The
application will fail to invoke with a secondary monitor color setting of
 256 colors or less.
* Administrator privileges are required to install or uninstall the TDSUSB2
application on Windows 2000 and XP operating systems. If you do not have
administrator privileges, contact your system administrator to
 install the application.
===========================================================
5. Installation
Normally, the TDSUSB2 application resides on the hard drive of
your oscilloscope. If the application is not installed on hard disk,
perform the following steps to install the application from
the Optional Applications Software on a Windows-based Oscilloscope
 compact disc (CD or DVD):
 1. If the keyboard is not installed, connect it to the oscilloscope rear
panel (the optional-accessory keyboard plugs into the USB connector)
 2. Power on the oscilloscope to start Windows
 3. Insert the optional applications software DVD in the CD or DVD drive
 of the oscilloscope
 4. The autorun utility will start the installation program
 5. Select the option 'USB 2.0 Test package'
 6. Select the option 'INSTALL NOW'
 7. Follow the instructions given by the InstallShield Wizard. If Java
Run-time Environment (JRE 1.4.2_02) software is not previously installed,
then the InstallShield Wizard will prompt for installing it. Click
"Yes" when prompted for installing JRE 1.4.2_02 and the InstallShield
will install it. Do not change the default locations to install
the files. The oscilloscope must reboot to complete the installation process.
 8. You will need to enter the authorized Option Installation Key to enable
the application. The key is specific to the serialized oscilloscope and
options for which it was purchased. Do not enter this key until all
application software that you have purchased has been installed. To
enter the key number, follow these steps:
 a. If the oscilloscope is powered on and in the toolbar mode (default),
select the Menu button (upper right corner of the display) to put
the oscilloscope into menu-bar mode. In menu-bar mode you should
see a PC-style menu across the top of the display.
 b. Go to the Utilities menu in the menu bar and select Option
 Installation.
 c. Follow the on-screen instructions to enter the alphanumeric key
number exactly as it is printed on the rear-panel label.
 NOTE:
If the autorun utility fails to start in step 4, then select the My Computer icon.
In the Exploring My Computer window, select the drive letter associated with the
CD or DVD (for example, D:) drive. Select the file LAUNCH.EXE to start the
installation program. Complete the installation process by performing steps
5 to 8 as mentioned above.

The TDSUSB2 application is now ready for use. Start the application by
using ANALYZE->USB2.0 Test Package menu selection on the oscilloscope menu.
To restore the application, when hidden or minimized, click on the ANALYZE->RESTORE
 button.
