These are the installation instructions for updating the 
firmware in a 4 Series MSO oscilloscope using your downloaded 
4SeriesMSO firmware update zip file.

Contents of this zip package:

    install.txt       - this text file
    releaseNotes.txt  - describes differences between firmware versions
    firmware.img      - oscilloscope firmware installer for 
                        4 Series MSO

    Applicable open source licensing references.

Instructions:

    1.  Copy the file 'firmware.img' to suitable USB media. 
	There should be no other files on the USB with .img as the extension.

    2.  Power off the oscilloscope.

    3.  Insert the USB media into any of the USB Host ports on the
        front of the oscilloscope. (The host ports on the rear of the
        oscilloscope may also be used.) 
    
    4.  Power on the oscilloscope. Firmware update image will be
	displayed shortly. 

        Do not turn off the oscilloscope or remove the USB media
        until update complete image is shown.

    5.  When the screen says that the upgrade is complete, turn off
        the oscilloscope and unplug the USB media.

    6.  Turn on the oscilloscope.

Currently Installed Version:

    The firmware version currently installed in the oscilloscope is shown
    in the About menu, accessible from the Utility menu.
