Introduction The Tektronix TekExpress HDM is an automated test solution for testing the HDMI compliance for Physical Layer Solution of HDMI DUTs as per CTS 2.0. Software also supports HDM1.4 Sink testing. ================================================================================= 2. Features Release (10.1.0) HDMI-1363 Source interpair skew test should report values with sign HDMI-1328 HDMI 2.0 HF1-1 and HF1-4 implemented as per new MOI HDMI-1321 AR # 56833 1.4 Rx Migration to TekExpress HDMI-1411 AR # 60724 1.4 Rx Test ID 8-21 Audio Clock Regeneration and Test ID 8-6 Intra-Pair Skew Test are not working properly Release (10.1.1) Support for P77xx and P76xx probe HF1-2 and HF1-7 algorithms are updated to consider the 17.5 to 19.5 bit time for calculating the voltage swing Release (10.3.0) Support of end to end automation for P77xx and P76xx probe ->"Trimode Probe Automation" checkbox in DUT panel to be enabled. -> Filter configuration enabled for HF1-3- Inter-Pair Skew. ================================================================================= 3. Before you click "RUN" a) Ensure that all the required instruments are properly warmed up, Signal Path Compensation (SPC) is performed, followed by calibration and cable deskew. b) Steps for network drive connection b.1) Background information : After you first launch TekExpress, it creates the following folders on your computer: “\My Documents\My TekExpress” NOTE. Ensure that the “My TekExpress” folder has Full read and write access. NOTE. If a user with a different Windows login ID launches TekExpress, a new folder is created under “My documents” of new user. “\My Documents\My TekExpress\HDM” “\My Documents\My TekExpress\HDM\Untitled Session”, this sub-folder is created every time the “TekExpress HDM” is launched and this sub-folder is deleted when you exit application. CAUTION: Each session has multiple files associated with it. Do not modify any of the session files and/or folders as this may result in loss of data or corrupted session files. The “My TekExpress” folder mentioned above is created as a shared folder with share name as ’s My TekExpress ================================================================================= 4. TekExpress HDM created changes on your system. After first launch of "TekExpress HDM" from TekScope menu “Analyze > TekExpress HDM” following changes take place in your a) "My TekExpress" folder is created under "My Documents" folder of current user NOTE: If a user with new login ID launches "TekExpress HDM", "My TekExpress" folder is created under "My Documents" of the new user. b) "HDM" folder is created under "My TekExpress" folder c) "Untitled Session" folder is created under "HDM" folder, note that everytime "TekExpress HDM" is launched "Untitled Session" folder is created under "HDM" folder and will be deleted after proper termination of application. d) If user saves a session in TekExpress HDM all session files are saved under "HDM" folder. Note that each session has multiple files associated with it and do not tamper with any of the session file(s) and/or folder(s) this may result in loss of data or corrupted session files. ================================================================================== 5. Supported Tests This Version of TekExpress HDM Compliance Solution Supports Testing HDMI Physical Layer Solution for: CTS 2.0 - All Source and Sink Tests (Option HDM and HDM-DS respectively) using AWG7122C and AWG70002A CTS 1.4 - All Sink tests (Option HT3DS) using AWG70002A ================================================================================== 6. Supported list of equipment, accessories and software HDMI 2.0 Tektronix MSO/DPO 70000C/D/DX/SX. Minimum Requirement: Two P7313 SMA or P7720 or P7633 probes Minimum 4 probes are required for probe automation TekScope Firmware 10.11.1 DPOJET Version 10.1.0 Quantity-2#,AWG70002A with option 01,03 and 225 HDM Pattern installer version 1.0.2 for HDMI 2.0 HDM Pattern installer version 1.0.0 for HDMI 1.4 OR Quantity-2#, AWG7122C with option 1,2/6,8 HDM Pattern installer version 1.0.2 for HDMI 2.0 Quantity-1,AFG3102/AFG3102C/AFG3252/AFG3252C HDMI 1.4 Sink Tektronix MSO/DPO 70000C/D/DX/SX. Known Limitations 7.1 Installer related limitation a) Installation of TekExpress and other software packages are installed on C: drive only. b) The available free space on C: drive must be minimum 5 GB. 7.2 TekExpress application related limitations a) Tests will be started only when all the instruments are available. b) The application is best viewed in super VGA resolution or higher video adapter (800x600 minimum video resolutions for small fonts or 1024x768 minimum video resolutions for large fonts) with 96 dpi display settings. If application is running on instrument with lower resolution then it is recommended to use secondary monitor. c) During test execution if user pauses the execution and if user does any changes in instrument setup then it is important that user restores the instruments settings to same state before clicking "Continue". d) Need to have sufficient hard disc space (Minimum of 1GB) to save the session information. 7.3 TekExpress application Known issue a) While printing the MHT report, page layout need to be adjusted to obtain desired level of text and image visibility either by using fit to single page or by printing report on multiple pages or by using large paper size. b) Visual C++ Runtime Library Error observed when runtime terminate in an unusual way. c) After recovering a session using the open session, Default setup functionality does not work as expected.Advice to close and open a new session. d) Options menu->"Keep On Top" control may affect the functioning of other UI controls. e) In some scenarios progress and test status may not update properly. f) Changing lane selection values in DUT panel may cause flickering of the UI. g) Rarely Sample rate is set to minimum value during change of +/- 0.5% clock frequency in sink protocol. This would cause the display not seen in the DUT, Please re-run the tests or check the sampling rate. h) If TekExpress Source Data Eye diagram test is run in pre-recorded mode with capturing the waveform manually and browsing it in Acquisition panel, then for data lanes user needs to select both +ve and -ve lane waveforms together in the browse window.
