Known Limitations ===================================================================================== 1. Introduction The Tektronix TekExpress Automotive PAM3 Analysis is an automated test solution for performing Signal Separation on a Full duplex PAM3 100BASE-T1 and 1000BASE-T1 twisted pair setup. Measurements like eye height and eye width can be used to measure the eye-opening of the signals. Additionally, an eye mask can be added to check the tolerance of the eye-diagrams. The jitter measurements include deterministic, random and total jitter. The total jitter measurement can be calculated at a particular Bit Error Rate (BER) to demonstrate the signal integrity of the system. All the measurements can be performed on both master and slave ECUs. ===================================================================================== 2. Tekscope-SW support The Tektronix TekExpress Automotive PAM3 Analysis application will run on Tekscope-SW (offline) scope as well. This product contains the following software as per the respective licenses. Math.NET Numerics License (MIT/X11) (Math.NET Link - https://numerics.mathdotnet.com/License.html) IronPython (2.7.3) - Apache License 2.0 (IronPython Link - https://github.com/IronLanguages/ironpython2/blob/master/LICENSE) ===================================================================================== 3. List of supported equipment MSO54, MSO56, MSO58, MSO64 and MSO6B Scope Version : 1.26.x.xx or greater ===================================================================================== 4. List of supported test Eye a) Eye Height b) Eye Width Jitter a) Random Jitter(DD) b) Deterministic Jitter(DD) C) Total Jitter @ BER Timing a) Rise Time b) Fall Time Other a) Linearity ====================================================================================== 5. TekExpress Automotive PAM3 Analysis created changes on your system. After first launch of "TekExpress Automotive PAM3 Analysis.exe" following changes take place in your computer. a) "My TekExpress" folder is created under "My Documents" folder of current user NOTE: If a user with new login ID launches "TekExpress Automotive PAM3 Analysis.exe", "My TekExpress" folder is created under "My Documents" of the new user. b) "Untitled Session" folder is created under "Automotive PAM3 Analysis" folder when the application is launched and will be deleted after proper termination of the application. c) If user saves a session then all session files are saved under "Automotive PAM3 Analysis" folder accordingly. Note that each session has multiple files associated with it and do not tamper with any of the session file(s) and/or folder(s) as this may result in loss of data or corrupted session files. ====================================================================================== 6. Recommendations Ensure that all the required instruments are properly warmed up, Signal Path Compensation is performed and deskew is done. ====================================================================================== 7. Known Limitations a) Application will launch only after instrument discovery search is complete. This may take 10 mins (for first time launch only). b) Default sources for Master and Slave are same. c) License not enabled pop-up will come always, in the case of either of PAM3-FL or PAM3 license not installed. d) Minimizing the scope during execution will give empty plots in the report. e) In Tekscope-SW (offline) scope, report will open in minimized state. f) Recalling saved session on different scope will not contain CTLE Filter files. g) SCPI command is not working for error popups. h) Undetected probe information will not be available on the report, selected probe information can be viewed through generate report by selecting include all configuration parameters on report panel.
